XEOJ Radio

XEOJ Radio is the listening app for XEOJ, a late-night station broadcasting original music and serialized fiction. It runs on iOS and Android. The station also streams on the web at xeoj-am.com.

The stream will not play

Work through these in order:

• Check that the device is not muted and the volume is up.
• Turn the brass volume knob on the Mothership screen clockwise.
• Confirm the device has a working internet connection.
• Some corporate and school networks block audio streams. Try cellular data instead.
• Force-quit the app and reopen it.

XEOJ broadcasts around the clock. A dark ON AIR lamp means the station is between transmissions. Wait a moment and pull to refresh.

Background audio and lock screen

Audio keeps playing after you leave the app or lock the device. Playback controls and the current track appear on the lock screen and in Control Center.

Because this is a live broadcast, there is no scrubbing or seeking. Starting playback moves the lock screen card to XEOJ Radio from whichever app held it before.

Data usage

The stream runs at 128 kbps, which uses roughly 58 MB per hour of listening. On a limited cellular plan, prefer Wi-Fi for long sessions.

Accounts and privacy

XEOJ Radio has no sign-up and no account. It collects no personal data, runs no analytics, and shows no advertising. The app privacy policy is published at xeoj-am.com/privacy. The policy covering this website is on our privacy page.

Reporting a problem

Email us with questions, bug reports, or song requests. We reply within two business days. Include the device model and the iOS or Android version when reporting a problem, which makes the fix far quicker to find.
